The Management Structure
The nursery school is managed by a Board, whose members are elected from amongst current and ex-parents as well as suitably qualified and experienced members of the local community. The Board members are Trustees of the Charity and Directors of the Company. The Board is responsible for ensuring that the aims and objectives of the charity are met. It meets every term to discuss initiatives and projects, as well as overseeing the regular business of the nursery.
Parent Fundraising and Social Committee
Maria Grey Nursery School has a Parents’ Fundraising and Social Committee whose input is crucial to the Nursery School.
Committee members are elected annually and meet on a regular basis to discuss the fundraising and social events that are run each year. There is usually a Christmas Auction and Social, a Quiz Night, a stall at the Richmond May Fair and a Summer Party, as well as coffee mornings, tea afternoons and pub evenings.
All parents are welcome to be part of the Committee, to contribute towards making a difference in their child’s education, as well as helping to foster the good community spirit for which Maria Grey Nursery School is known.
